Couple of minutes ago I had a chance to update my iOS to new, just released iOS 13. Usually, I don’t even notice when my iOS gets updated but right now I’m very excited because the changes are huge and very cool. So here what’s new:
The dark mode is here
It is carefully designed to make it easier for your eyes to see each screen element in the dark and is integrated into all systems. You can simply turn it on in the Control Center section or set it to turn on automatically every night.
New wallpapers optimized for Dark Mode automatically change as you switch between light and dark.
Android users are already familiar with this one but eventually, iPhone and iPad users will be able to write by sliding their finger from letter to letter instead of pressing them separately. Apple says machine learning algorithms will help the device better understand what we want to write.

Photo and camera
Apple has improved the Photos app in the latest iOS 13, where artificial intelligence will now select the best photos of each day, month and year. Albums will automatically hide similar photos, as well as check pictures and screenshots, so we can find the exact photo we are looking for faster.
Throughout the Photos tab, muted Live Photos and videos begin playing as you scroll, bringing your photo library to life.
The camera’s portrait mode has a new black and white effect. You can finally change the light intensity to make the most out of portrait mode. It will also be easier to edit our photos or videos now.
Big upgrade to Photo editing app. With new tools, it’s much easier to edit your photos. You can control image adjustments and filters to refine your photo work to perfection.

And finally, what I been asking for a long time already- you can edit your videos! You can use practically all the same tools and effects that you already use for image processing – including rotation, cropping, and auto-enhancement.
Sign in with Apple
You can now sign in to applications and websites with your existing Apple ID. No registration fields, no new passwords. Just tap “Sign In with Apple,” quickly confirm with Face ID or Touch ID, and you’re done. Applications may only require your name and email address.
It works similar to what we currently use to sign in to various services and apps with a Facebook account, but Apple promises it will be secure and will not compromise privacy in the process.
Apple Maps gets StreetView mode
When Apple first released Apple Maps in 2012, many were complaining about the product, as it was much simpler and less informative than Google Maps. However, Apple improved its maps year after year. At WWDC 2019, Apple announced that Apple Maps now contains even more information about roads, buildings, parks, beaches, and it’s much easier to find it.
Some cities you can explore in spectacular 3D, enjoying 360 ° panoramic views and roaming the streets freely as we are used to in Google Maps StreetView. Apple Maps can now create lists of local attractions to visit and places you want to see. You can share this list with your friends.
Privacy and Security
Control the location data that you pass to apps with new, fine-grained controls. You can choose to grant an app access to your location once or anytime you use it. You will receive notifications when an app is using your location in the background, so you can decide whether to update your permission.

With the all-new Reminder application, you can more easily create reminders with smart lists, Siri power, and more.
We can now quickly add additional information to reminders, such as attachments, dates, locations, etc. Siri will look at our chats and help you create reminders.Smart lists will automatically organize your reminders by grouping them into Flagged, Scheduled and Today.
HomeKit Secure Video
When it comes to security, another security-related innovation is HomeKit’s Secure Video feature. Now, HomeKit cameras will be able to safely store video footage directly to iCloud Cloud Service, where only the user or people invited from the Home app will be able to access it. This innovation will be free and Apple informs us that data stored on the web will not be recorded.
Siri can read incoming notifications from your messaging apps to your second‑generation AirPods when you can’t reach for your phone.
Pair two sets of AirPods to one iPhone and enjoy the same song or movie along with a friend.
Memoji and Messages
I enjoyed Memoji when they came alive like for only a couple of days. They were super fun but available only in Messages. Personally, I receive messages only from my Bank and Post office.
Now Memoji automatically becomes sticker kits and is embedded in your keyboard, so you can easily use them in text messages, emails, and other developer applications. Now you can update your Memoji with new haircuts, piercings, make-up and more.
Control what information your friends will see about you by choosing a name, picture, and even Memoji that will be shown to them when you contact.
iOS 13 Performance
iOS 13 will run faster and, for example, Face ID’s face recognition will run up to 30% faster on the new system. With iOS 13, App Store apps are made in a new way, making them up to 50% smaller when you first download them, up to 60% smaller when you upgrade them, and up to 2x faster launch.
