Steve Jobs

In mid-2018, nearly seven years after he tragically died of pancreatic cancer at the age of 56, some Twitter user posted an image of a man in Egypt who looks a hell of a lot like Steve Jobs. “Steve Jobs is discovered alive and living in Egypt,” the post title reads.

While the guy does have the classic Steve Jobs thoughtful chin grab. Some people have pointed out that he’s not wearing an Apple Watch. Now, ask yourself. If you were the head of a global technology corporation known for inventing a very identifiable wrist accessory, would you wear said watch after faking your own death and escaping to Egypt?

Avril Lavigne

Is the perky Canadian singer of “Sk8er Boi” and “Complicated” actually dead, and being played by a lookalike? That’s the hypothesis behind the Brazilian fan site “Avril Is Dead.” It claims that the real Avril was disappeared in 2004, and replaced by a body double named Melissa Vandella.

There are a number of before and after photos that show different marks on her body and an altered shape of her nose and face. Lavigne wore jeans and Melissa prefers skirts and dresses. During one photo shoot, Lavigne is seen with the word Melissa written on her hand. Oh and also clues in her lyrics from the Avril actress trying to tell the truth to her fans.

Tupac

Tupac Shakur was gunned down in cold blood in a drive-by shooting in 1996, leaving rap fans devastated. Despite being placed in a drug-induced coma, he died from respiratory failure and cardiac arrest in hospital six days later on September 13.

There is a theory that Tupac’s death was an elaborate hoax so the artist could escape to Cuba from his increasingly dangerous celebrity status.

The shooters were never found. Pac always wore a bulletproof vest. The man who cremated Tupac retired immediately afterward.

After this death, everyone analyzed every lyric he ever rapped and jumped to conclusions.

Perhaps most notably on Richie Rich’s N***** Done Change he rapped: “I’ve been shot and murdered, can’t tell you how it happened word for word but best believe that n*****’ gonna get what they deserve.”

And the one that swayed us the most – on Aint’ Hard 2 Find: “I heard rumors that I died murdered in cold blood, traumatized pictures of me in my final states — you know mama cried. But that was fiction, some coward got the story twisted.” Blimey.

Elvis Presley

Since his rather undignified death on a toilet in 1977, the “King of Rock ’n’ roll” has been seen all over the world, usually doing something mundane, and occasionally wearing his jumpsuits and rhinestones.

A year after his death, he was seen in his pool house at Gracelands in 1978 and a photo was taken.

He was spotted in 1988 by a woman in Michigan, the US, at a supermarket wearing (of course) a white jumpsuit. The woman’s daughter later saw the King in the local Burger King, which amazingly happened to be Presley’s favorite fast-food chain

Rumors, that he faked his own death to escape the mafia. He was put into witness protection after infiltrating a criminal organization for the FBI. This theory has been given strength by the fact that Presley’s name is spelled wrong on his tombstone.

Paul McCartney

After “Elvis is Alive” there was the “Paul is Dead” theory, which has been ongoing since the 1960s. The Beatles’ bassist Paul McCartney was supposed to have died in a car crash in 1966 or 1967. Obviously, this would have been bad for Beatles business, so they hired a replacement.

Having got away with the impersonation, the surviving Beatles decided to leave clues and hints scattered through their lyrics and photographs.

the cover of the Abbey Road album was supposed to depict a funeral procession and the fact that McCartney was barefoot meant that he was the corpse.

Obviously, Paul McCartney denies the theory (well he would), even going as far as naming his 1999 album “Paul Is Live”

John Travolta

Actor John Travolta and deceased German schlager singer Roy Black share more than a passing semblance. They had the same facial structure, hair, mouth, and nose. In the world most of us live in, that doesn’t mean anything other than two people looked very similar.

But in the world of those awake to conspiracies, it means that one replaced the other. While Black is said to have died in 1991 of a heart attack, some believe that the death was faked so he could undergo minor plastic surgery and English lessons, in order to take over the role of John Travolta for unknown but probably nefarious reasons. What happened to the original Travolta is currently unknown, but it’s probably not good.
