You’ve seen the viral meme — a split-screen of a blonde-haired woman yelling at a white cat making a face in front of a plate of lettuce. The meme has inspired countless laughs and has become one of the most popular memes of 2019, according to Business Insider.

This meme is as versatile as iconic – it has been used for everything from Halloween costumes and controversy in politics to poster decorations in protests in Guatemala.

Its all started back in May when Twitter user @MISSINGEGIRL put Armstrong and Smudge together writing, “These photos together is making me lose it.” The resulting meme — and all its hilarious incarnations — went viral.

The tweet triggered a massive reaction, garnering more than 350,000 “likes” and comments. This post gave this collage a second life and provided a fresh contribution to the huge collection of internet meme’s.

The Cat

The Cat names is Smugle and he lives in Canada. He, like many cats, is antisocial when strangers visit their home and always requests a seat at the dinner table.

Cat owner, Miranda says that Smudge always gets angry when he doesn’t have a seat at the table. Sometimes there are couple more guests and he doesn’t have a seat. As soon as one of the guests gets up from the table, he takes the chair.

The same happened in the iconic picture. Smudge found his place near the salad plate on the table. Smudge has a “very expressive” face, and he has shown a keen dislike for the vegetables in front of him.

In June 2018, Miranda posted a picture of a cat on her personal Tumblr profile with the caption “He is not a vegetarian” and it went viral.

The Woman

The woman pictured next to the cat is Taylor Armstrong. She was a member of the show “The Real Housewife of Beverly Hills” in December 2011. She is captured in this picture after another housewife allegedly told gossip about her.

“During the screaming scene, I was truly terrified for my life and my safety. When I look back now, that life seems like someone else’s,” Armstrong tells OprahMag.com. “I have healed and grown so much stronger since that moment and am in such a happy place with my husband and daughter. I never imagined of all my TV moments, that would be the one to become a ‘meme’ sensation.”

Unfortunately, both heroes of the collage have never had the opportunity to meet in person or repeat the meme again. However, Miranda said she had reached out to Armstrong and discussed a possible meeting in the future.
