The coronavirus pandemic COVID-19 has not only disadvantages but also its advantages says Rob Jackson, Professor of University of California, the Postimees portal reports.
Jackson reveals that according to the World Health Organization (WHO), air quality will change rapidly. He reveals that overall carbon emissions could fall by as much as 5%, the best figure since World War II.
The professor notes that carbon emissions last fell in 2008 when the financial crisis hit. At that time, the decline was 1.4%.
Air quality is already improving in several countries around the world. Such results have been reported by China and Italy, which are among the most affected countries in the world by COVID-19.
