Our lives are full of inexplicable things. Some of them are so strange that people create conspiracy theories about them, searching for regularities where they may not exist at all. I will introduce you to 10 such theories.
Bubble Universe Theory
Never mind the big bang; in the beginning, was the vacuum. The vacuum simmered with energy (variously called dark energy). Like water in a pot, this high energy began to evaporate – bubbles formed.
Each bubble contained another vacuum, whose energy was lower, but still not nothing. This energy drove the bubbles to expand. Inevitably, some bubbles bumped into each other. It’s possible some produced secondary bubbles. Maybe the bubbles were rare and far apart; maybe they were packed close as foam.
But here’s the thing: each of these bubbles was a universe. In this picture, our universe is one bubble in a frothy sea of bubble universes.
There is a theory that 2012 was truly the end of the world. We are all dead and anything that happened after December 21, 2012, is just a dream.

Conspiracy theories refer to Die Glocke, or Nazi Bell, as a device by which the Nazis could travel around the Earth. It is believed that it was also a time machine. No one really knows how to use it, but at the end of World War II, the bell and its developers mysteriously disappeared.

Alien base on Moon
The last time a man put his foot on the moon was on December 11, 1972. Since then, there have been no lunar missions, despite the spectacular advances in technology.
What is the reason that NASA is no longer sending any people on such missions? One of the theories is the alien base on the moon. Another version fits well with the conspiracy theory of the lunar landing lies. People have never been on the moon – all of these missions are fabricated and even with current technology, they wouldn’t be able to get there. The only difference there are no space competitions like during the Cold War, so no one is risking anymore.
In 1978, pilot Frederick Valentich and his plane disappeared during UFO contact. His last message was, “Oh, Melbourne, this strange aircraft is once again above me. It is flying above me and is not an aircraft”.
Elvis, Jim Morrison, Tupac, and other celebrities are still alive
Sometimes celebrities have had enough of life in the spotlight, so fake their deaths to start again – at least, that’s what this conspiracy theory states.
Celebrities who have apparently done this include Jim Morrison, who was found dead aged 27 in a Paris hotel room by his girlfriend in 1971. It is claimed there was no autopsy and he had a closed casket funeral.
Elvis Presley died in 1977 at his Graceland home, but despite having an open coffin funeral, some believe that he was replaced with a waxwork. His family has asked that his autopsy report remain sealed until 2027 – so we have a long time to wait to discover the truth.
Tupac, who was shot dead in Las Vegas in a gangland murder in 1996, has been repeatedly “seen” since his death at the age of 25 – and is apparently living a new life in Cuba.

Barack Obama could control the weather
During both his terms, it was alleged that President Obama deliberately manipulated the weather to deflect attention away from the White House in times of scandal. In May 2013, after a mile-wide tornado struck Moore, Oklahoma and killed 24 people, right-leaning broadcasters and internet “truthers” suggested the USAF had caused the disaster on purpose to distract from a series of governmental controversies.
Hitler is still alive
The advent of the internet hasn’t just cooked up new conspiracy theories, it’s also accelerated existing ones. “Hitler is still alive” rumors have circulated since the 1970s, fuelled by the fact that his crony Josef Mengele hid in South America.
Stories speculate that the 125-year-old Hitler has been responsible for various world disasters, including 9/11 and the 2010 Gulf oil spill, which happened on his birthday. Other theories say he died in 1984 in Brazil, aged 94. Or in Argentina, aged 73.
The Large Hadron Collider is a device for awakening an Egyptian god
Rather than a multi-national cooperative to further our scientific knowledge of atomic particles, the Large Hadron Collider is, in fact, a multi-dimensional portal intended to awaken Osiris, the Egyptian god of death.
The Earth is hollow
The Earth is hollow and accessible via portals at the north and south poles. Luckily though, it’s quite habitable down there, providing excellent living quarters for the lost Viking colonies of Greenland and the Nazis, while “aliens” are in fact just visitors from the subterranean yonder.
Denver Airport is the home of all evil
Another nugget from the New World Order truthers: Denver International Airport is the epicenter of World Evil. Because World Evil needs somewhere where it can just relax and be itself. Away from the daily grind of all that bad doing. Handily, there are cryptic signs all over the airport to remind enlightened travelers of the evilness they’re traversing.
We all live in the Matrix and billionaires want to break us out of it
Now, this might sound like an elaborate ploy to help rekindle The Matrix box set sales, but as far as we can tell neither Warner Bros. nor Keanu Reeves are behind it. The New Yorker’s Tad Friend claims that many people in Silicon Valley are obsessed with the idea that we’re all living in a Matrix-like simulation, and some are taking that obsession a stage further: “Two tech billionaires have gone so far as to secretly engage scientists to work on breaking us out of the simulation.”
The Moon Does Not Exist
It’s common knowledge that earth’s only friend, the moon, is real. But According to this conspiracy theory, the moon does not exist and it is only a hologram created to fool everyone on earth. There are some videos online that try to prove it, but the evidence is rather weak.
Stonehenge Was Built By The Aliens
While scientists can’t seem to find an explanation on how somebody without any engineering knowledge managed to move stones that weigh 50 tons, some people think that the answer is pretty simple we just refuse to accept it. According to Erich von Däniken, the author of the book “Chariots of the Gods?” who claims that ‘many ancient megastructures such as Stonehenge, the Egyptian pyramids, and the Moai heads of Easter Island were built using know-how passed down from God-like aliens to mankind”.
Phantom Time Hypothesis
This historical conspiracy theory was first published in 1991 and it basically states that 297 years of our history didn’t exist. Heribert Illig, the author of this conspiracy, believes that the events from 614 to 911 have been faked, which includes the entire Carolingian period and the figure of Charlemagne. According to Illig, one of the main reasons we shouldn’t believe these 297 years actually took place is the scarcity of archeological evidence from that period of time. Although there are many people who believe this theory, (again, no distinct reason why anyone would be interested in adding those years), historians rejected Illig’s proposals.
